Lucy has been a valued colleague and friend for the past six years, and I have had the pleasure of working alongside her both professionally as a Headteacher and personally. She is a talented and inspiring artist who brings creativity, passion and dedication to everything she does. Lucy works exceptionally well with class teachers, listening carefully and offering thoughtful support in the delivery of art across the curriculum. Her lessons are always well planned, engaging, and thoroughly resourced, ensuring children have rich and meaningful creative experiences. She has a wonderful manner with children - warm, encouraging and nurturing- and she builds positive relationships that help pupils grow in confidence and enjoy expressing themselves through art. A standout example of Lucy’s impact was at Brinsworth Howarth Primary School, where she worked-with children to design and paint a beautiful mural for the school. It remains proudly displayed outside for all to see and is a lasting testament to her creativity and the inspiration she brings to young people. I would highly recommend Lucy as an outstanding art educator and creative practitioner.
